Issei was betrayed by the Gremory Peerage after they run away during a monster attack which caused Issei to use his dragon shot that ended creating a explosion, he meets Jesus Christ and he tells him his purpose and to move on without vengeance, he is given the power of light that is a gift of god and he knew the supernatural will be coming for him since the God of the Bible hasn't been seen after the Great War and thought to be killed without realizing he is still alive in the cosmos, it's not just the supernatural, the Holy Kingdom and the Roman Catholic Church including the World will be coming after him. but he isn't alone.
