JJ just turned 19 and she lived in a very small town just outside of the Virginia mountains. She worked as a waitress at her aunt's diner alongside her best friend Penelope. They didn't get new residents often, but recently the ranch down the road from Penelope's was bought by another family. That's when JJ meets 22 year old, Emily Prentiss. Does JJ fall for the new ranch hand in town? Not only a ranch hand, but the Ranch Owner's daughter?

I bite my lip as I read her text out loud. I take a breath, looking at Penelope. She shrugs at you through the mirror. "How are you doing?" She checks. I shake my head. "As good as I can be, given my role-play with the Chief just began," I groan, "I am going to regret this." ...
