Indian girls are generally expected to study to a certain level, possibly work for some time and BAM! get married and have kids. What if said Indian girl wishes to do something more? What if she wants to stand on her own two feet? What if she wishes to live life her way and ignore her annoying relatives' qualms about her so-called 'unacceptable behavior'?

Enter Ana Desai.

Age 21, B.E in comp science with an astounding 9.6 CGPA (though the society *cough* annoying relatives *cough* feels she should've tried harder, but then again, they'd probably feel the same even if she'd got 10) and smartarse extraordinaire.

Yep, she's a nerd. But not the kind of nerd you're used to. This sassy lass chooses (in spite of being harangued by the 'society') to pursue her M.S in comp science, instead of the usual IT company route that many take. Everything seems peachy in the beginning, but what happens when a certain green-eyed asshole (that she may or may not like-like) lights a fire under her bloated ego?

Sparks fly, that's what.

No, really. Literal sparks.

And daggers. And guns. And tanks.

Rated Mature for strong language and sexual themes ~~~ Ana shrieked and frantically shielded her eyes as a very male, very naked man entered the room. "Holy fuck," she heard the man say, or rather shout, before the sound of something crashing to the floor met her ears. She spread her fingers slightly, peeking through to assess the damage. "Don't look!" She clamped her eyes closed. "Who are you?" Ana resisted the urge to peek once more as she heard him move around. "Better yet who the hell are you," he bit back sharply and she resisted the urge to flinch at the unnecessarily harsh tone. "Do you live here?" "No," he deadpanned. Her eyebrows furrowed in slight confusion. "I'm just in a random ass college dorm walking around naked. What do you fucking think, Sherlock?" He sneered and she bit the side of her cheek to hold back the oncoming eyeroll. Leave it to the second college student Ana comes across to be a total jerk. "Well then I do believe that makes me your roommate." ~~~ All Princess Anastasia wanted was to get through college quietly, receive her degree and enjoy the simplicity of life in the process. But, after her first day ends on bad terms with one of her new roommates, it starts a series of prank wars that completely destroys every hope she ever had of living like a normal person. Except for the fact that maybe her new roommate isn't actually so bad after all. And maybe - just maybe - he's actually kind of wonderful. ~~~

My mother always told me "Chandani, if you play your cards right you'll find a great husband someday." My grandmother would always add in "a nice Indian boy!" If either woman could have their way, I suspect he would be a tall, tan, green eyed, wavy haired, Indian. Who loves nothing more then the smile on his mothers face, and approval from his father. They could see him clearly, striding in the room in all his greatness, and at that moment our eyes would meet. He would see no one else, Que the spotlight on me in a deep red sari, hair long and flowing. He would right then and there bend on one knee and whisper those sweet words "Muhjse Shadi Karoge?"(will you marry me?). Taken by surprise I would place one hand on my heart and utter a soft yet determined "yes." Sounds like the ultimate Bollywood love fest huh? Well as I sit here at my desk, I can tell you that at twenty four years old I am still waiting for my Salman Khan to break through the doors. ***************************************************** Chandani is a young woman on her path of self discovery. Doing so is not easy with her strong Indian roots, her families expectations, her own dreams and her headstrong mother all pulling her in different directions. She thinks she knows what she wants and who she is, until she meets Akhil Dharma. From their first meeting he is arrogant, and brutally honest, so much so that Chandani decides then and there he is not worth her time. Leading her to assume the worst of him, it doesn't help that the people around her add fuel to the fire. They must both learn to get over themselves and come to understand that sometimes our own arrogance moves us to assume the worst in people. In the end we must let go of our arrogance and trample any assumptions in order to freely fall in love.

A wedding. A stolen glance. A spark that should have died out. She fell first....hard. But love has a cruel sense of humor. One confession, one rejection, and that was supposed to be the end of it. Supposed to be. Now, six months in his house? That's the universe's way of laughing in her face. As a medical intern, she can handle stress, but nothing could've prepared her for him -the walking, talking headache she once crushed on. Bickering, teasing, a battle of wills- she swears she's over it. Over him. But then why does her heart still race? He never noticed her before, never cared enough to look twice. But now? Now she's everywhere -in his house, his space, his head. The girl he barely acknowledged is now the only one who makes his carefully built walls crumble. He never believed in love at first sight. Too bad fate never asked for his opinion. One is chaos . The other is control. One is loud. The other is quiet. One fell first. The other will fall harder. -------- -------- -------- -------- She walked up to him, dragging her suitcase behind her. He glanced at her, his expression unreadable, before looking at the suitcase as if it personally offended him. "So," he drawled, pushing himself off the car. "You really didn't have any other place to stay?" Sara raised an eyebrow. "Trust me, if I had a choice, I wouldn't be here." Saurav let out a dry chuckle, shaking his head. "Great. This is going to be fantastic." He opened the car trunk and tossed her suitcase inside with zero delicacy. Sara sighed, already feeling the tension settling between them. Six months. This was going to be long. Views: 100 - 11/03/2025 200 - 15/03/2025 300 - 20/03/2025 400 - 2/04/2025 500 - 18/04/2025 600 - 8/05/2025

Going back to my old title 'Is He A She?!' instead of the Tapas one 'Testoster-zone.' _______ ❝Sometimes you don't have to be Superman or Spiderman to save a soul. You just have to dress as a guy.❞ _______ Parents and troubled looks are always a bad combination. Just like how getting bankrupt and asking to dress as a guy are a bad combination. Mission objectives: 1. Befriend unfriendly, cold, rich loner. 2. Make him social. 3. Get the hell out of this all boys school. But some things go unplanned just like how the mission gets altered a 'teeny' bit. Like, for e.g., 1. Make friends. 2. Become one of the boys. 3. Make her roommate 'life of the party.' 4. Have the time of her life. 5. And maybe, just maybe... fall in love. ________________ Dedicated to my sister/mentor/inspiration @Litdark ________________ r e a d e r ' s o p i n i o n "Your story has dripping sarcasm and drool worthy attitude of girls, and the amazing romance - I kid you not, no one wants to miss an amazing sarcasm dripping hilarious fiction."
