No response. Just those bright red eyes staring back at me.

"Derek? I'm serious. I'm gonna be so pissed if you kill me." God, I'm an idiot. 

The eyes start getting closer so I automatically start backing up.

"Please, let's just talk about this... I would really like to keep all my limbs attached to my body here."

Bump. There's the wall. 

I feel my hands out behind me, trying to find a way around it as the eyes get closer. And closer. Until he gets close enough that I can see his face, hear his breathing, and smell his aftershave. 

He steps right up in front of me, pinning me against the wall with his arms. 

He looks seriously pissed.

And then I didn't anticipate what he said next. 

"What are you doing to me Stiles"

Stiles has been moping for an entire month over the fact that Derek left before he get's the text. one simple word and an address. Derek needs him, and he's not about to let Derek suffer without him being there. So of course Stiles goes to him, and with a little help from a few of his friends. He knew Stiles' feelings for him, Stiles being Stiles had gotten bored of dancing around them and just blurted it out once after a Pack Night. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ Blood coated his hands, splattered his face and dripped from his T-shirt as he stared at himself in the mirror. "How can you still love me after what I did?" ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ Stiles flailed, chair falling backwards as he did, creating a thump louder than the one that had originally scared him. The man by his window stood up, adjusting his clothing as he walked towards the younger boy whose eyes were blown wide, heart beating a mile a minute. Derek inhaled deeply trying to determine what it was he could smell.

Stiles can't sleep, and if he told enough people that was all it was, maybe he would start to believe it. Still, as tensions were rising about them losing their territory he couldn't bother them with something he didn't even fully understand. Maybe he just needed something fun and easy to help him relax. Like the hot neighbor that he keeps catching staring at him. Derek can't sleep, and if he cleans his house enough maybe people won't realize how he doesn't care enough to clean up other parts of his life. Still, as he worried about his job and obligations, he couldn't let them down about finding a place they belonged. Maybe he just needed something interesting to keep his mind off of it. Like the clumsy man he can't keep his eyes off of.

Stiles had been keeping a secret from The Pack since the vampires came to town. Lydia, being the genius she is, works it out. Derek, on the other hand, just so happens to make a well - or poorly, depending on how you look at it - timed entrance through Stiles' window. Not everyone can be as perfectly understanding when it comes to the truth as Lydia, though. Some times people can only see the unwanted blood on your hands and not the loyalty and desperation that lies in your heart. And sometimes, sometimes telling the truth can lead you down a path of confusing feelings, moments, memories and nightmares. Where does the path end and how long will it take to get there?
