A young girl is forced to leave her home on Domain 5, a well organised planet under the rule of the Union, and journey into the solar system where she meets new beings, both good and bad, and discovers more about herself, including that she has the ability to create and travel through wormholes, which will ultimately help her journey to the Dark Moon.

Dark Moon is set in a solar system where the sun no longer shines and so energy is a commodity. For the most part, this energy is controlled by The Union. Drook, a strong-willed girl, finds herself in the centre of a struggle for power as different parties search for the map to the Groundstone, which is the key to the cloaking device enshrouding the sun...

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. 61 parts Complete Mature

Jo has sacrificed everything to save her family. For two years, she has done whatever she is told, no questions asked. In return, her family and friends remain safe from the roving bands of gangs that now prowl the streets of what used to be America. After showing mercy during one of her assignments, she is given a guardian. A man sent to watch her and make sure she doesn't deviate from her orders again. A man she doesn't understand and refuses to obey. Her new assignment turns out to be much more complicated than any of her previous ones. In the process of executing her orders, she begins to learn some hard truths about herself. And, for the first time, she begins to question exactly who is giving her the assignments. And why. But Kerus is keeping secrets of his own. Sworn to not intervene, he finds himself breaking his promises as well. And soon, he must decide how far he is willing to go. And how much he is willing to trust Jo. For unbeknownst to her, the assignments are not what they seem. And the fate of their world may just rest on her success.
