"Who broke your heart so bad, to make you feel this way?", he asked. I laughed, "No one broke my heart, they couldn't have it in the first place". "And why is that?", he asked moving closer. "They'd have to cut open my chest and bang it with a hammer pretty hard, if they wanted to break my heart", I said, standing up, and walking away.
Beth Lawrence wasn't a cynic. She wasn't a pessimist, or a defeatist. She was confused. She was confused of why she was confused, concludingly making her even more confused.
Beth's world of confusion and negativity excited Adam Finn. Not because he agreed with her, but because he'd managed to even spark a conversation with her in the first place. If anything, Beth's confusion confused Adam the most.

As Emma entered the school, she saw Josh approaching her. He had a distressed and upset look on his face. "Can I talk to you for a second?" he asked. "Sure?" Emma agreed. Her heart started beating faster as she wondered what was wrong. "I thought we agreed to keep out relationship secret," Josh stated. "We are," Emma told him. "I haven't told anyone..." "Then how come the whole school knows about us?" Josh demanded, his blue eyes narrowed. He was visibly angry but trying to keep his cool. "Are you serious?!" Emma cried, a shocked expression on her face. "I swear the only person who knew about us was Lizzie!" Then it hit Emma like a brick wall. Lizzie must have gone blabbering about her and Josh. Emma had clearly told Lizzie not to tell anyone, especially Kendra and her friends. "Lizzie...." Josh mused. "You're friends with that weirdo?" "Yeah...." Emma replied, ashamed. "I specifically told her not to tell anyone either! That bitch!" Anger started flaring up as Emma tried to sort it all out in her head. "That's why I told you to keep our relationship a secret!" Josh cried. "You can't trust anyone around here!" "I know, I messed up!" Emma sobbed, covering her face as tears rolled down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry Josh! This doesn't mean we have to break up, does it?" She gazed up at Josh with teary, sad blue eyes. "Unfortunately, yes," Josh stated regretfully. "Now that Kendra and her friends know, we can't see each other anymore. I'm sorry, Emma."Complete

The first in the Gone trilogy. ❝People change. Memories don't. ❞ I had that one person. That one person who would be my brightness in the dullest of days (trust me, there were a lot) just by gracing me with his presence. The frown that was permanently etched on my face would always seemingly dissipate into the happiness I felt when we'd meet up, running into his arms like he was my safe place. Everyone expected him to have someone, but no one thought it'd be me. No one wanted it to be me. Looking back on it now, it seemed like a typical love story. Him, the kind and gentle-hearted boy and I, the rude and cold-hearted girl. He wasn't kind, he wasn't gentle-hearted because if he was, then he wouldn't have left. Without a word. His lack of words towards me doesn't mean that I'm left speechless. In fact, I have a thousand words wanting to just slip off my tongue right this moment. Just because he's gone. An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!Complete
The Impossibilities of Us
"What are these feelings you're talking about?!" he questions still yelling. "That I fucking like you, Daniella Jamie Grey!" I yell. "And I fucking like you too, Arabella May Jhonson!" he yells back. And the next thing I know is that we're no longer yelling. I hadn't even noticed that we went closer and closer to each other until I felt his breath on my lips and his nose nuzzling against mine as he bent to my level, his body towering over mine. I pull him to me and smash my lips onto his and it barely took a second for him to respond to it. ~~~~~ Arabella Jhonson and Daniel Grey unite. How they met each other, you may ask? They met each other because Arabella's cousin and Daniel's father are dating. There's definitely a spark when they met and the spark began to grow as they hung out with each other day by day, especially since they'll be living under the same roof for a little more than three weeks. Oh and not to mention that Daniel lives in Australia, away from Arabella, and he's only come to visit. But that's when the impossibilities come in to play. For one, aren't they technically going to be related if her cousin and Daniel's dad get married? And not only for that reason, but many other reasons that will be revealed as the story progresses. This'll be a story about two teens who go through struggles and a romance between them that seems more than likely to be impossible. Not only do other people get in the way of this romance, but their minds as well. Their minds that remind them why they can't work. And their minds that have their own fears. But can their romance find a way through it all? Or will it all just fall apart? Warning: Contains strong languageComplete
