Daughter of an inquisitor, Anna has always been different from the other girls in her village. But that's all about to change. She is engaged to be married. Soon. Too soon.
During a visit to her fiancés village, to be blessed in his church, Anna's heart is broken. And it doesn't hurt as badly as she had feared. 
She is struggling with the idea of marrying an unfaithful man when faith intervenes. When recruiters show up to take her brother away, Anna doesn't hesitate. She will sacrifice her future to save her brother's life.

She's going to have to fight for her place while the gypsy seers try to find a man who is vital in a prophesy that will define the future of several kingdoms.
