Percy Jackson lived a simple, but hard life. Living with his mother and pig of a stepfather in a small apartment in New York. He had problems at school, and it didn't help that his drunk stepfather used him as a punching bag from time to time. Percy had a goal to just graduate high school and get a job, so he and his mother could move. Far, far away from all of their troubles. But the plan went from two people moving, to one. Percy's mother dies. Mugged and killed on the streets on her way home from work. 

But his plans change again when the man that left Percy's mother before Percy was born, suddenly appears. It doesn't just change Percy's plans. It changes his life.All Rights Reserved

After his mother's death Percy became nervous and scared because of his stepfather, afraid of what people said to him. Bullies constantly pushed hims around and he could do nothing about it. Mostly because Gabe wouldn't send him to a special school and most of the people there didn't know sign language. He had zero friends.
