I had lost count of days. I did not know where I was, how
far I had gotten and how close I was to my destination.

As I trudged up the steep hill, the words that the man had
said weighed me down and made it difficult to move on. “Your, damnation
slumbers not.” He had said, shaking an hourglass and peering through it at me,
making his eyes look enlarged. His eyes were the only violet eyes I had ever
seen .His voice was like silk, reciting a piece if ancient poetry. His words
had made me look back, again and again. My mind became crowded with second
thoughts. I began to regret what I had done. I stopped and turned around. My
eyes scanned over the bare acres and acres of distance I had covered. The wind
was blowing in my face; the sun was mercilessly glaring down at me. The sand
dunes shifted, and so did my state of mind.

As always, I was over thinking it. I came this far. How can
I go back? I survived till now why can’t I go further?

Here I stood, in the middle of a desert, in the middle of
life, on the verge of losing everything I ever had and gaining everything I
ever wanted.

I tightened the veil around my head and raised my long beige skirt to bare my swollen and scratched
feet. I poured some cool water I had brought with me, on my feet to relieve
them some pain, and to moisten them. After one last glance of what I have ever
known for the last nineteen years of my life, I started to make my way towards
my future, towards the unknown.

He said as he placed his hand on my cheek. "My bad luck." I muttered under my breath. "I warned your mother." He continued. "I told her to hide you. I informed her that if I see you again I won't hold back." He whispered. I felt my stomach do somersaults. "Why am I here?" I asked. My voice bold. "You will come to know soon." He replied back. I finally escaped the factory, they kidnapped me from my college. Today is my birthday, and I had planned for it but nothing helped, only calming me down for the moment. A scream echoed out in the silent starry sky, my body freezing... They were looking for me, I just knew it. Again, I ran and jumping over the fence to the property, muscles burning, my breathing short. I look behind me, not seeing the light of the school anymore. I slow down, holding my breath again. Looking around, only trees and bugs surround me. I slowly sank to my knees, gripping the grass in between my fingers, to keep my breathing calm. Tears springing to my eyes and brushing the tears away, slowly getting back to normal. Suddenly, I felt someone behind me. I could feel its strength and power surround me, turning around to see a dark figure behind me. Glowing blue eyes stared at me, seeing it slowly walk toward me. My breathing becoming short again, a panic attack was on the verge. A hand was now on my shoulder and another on my cold cheek, making me look into his eyes, "Let me help you..." He whispered. Rubbing his thumb against my cheek, I slowly nod my head, when a pain began to form in my chest. I knew it was coming. I quickly get away, crawling a couple feet away. "Get away!" I yelled. My skin turning white and the pain erupting inside of me, feeling it try to escape, and I know if I let it. It will hurt this man. Suddenly, he was there in my view. Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his. Soon, the kiss ended and I was empty. My eyes closing. "Don't worry, I will keep you safe..."

[COMPLETED] I was cursed at such a young age, abandoned by my own wolf and the Moon Goddess for something that wasn't in my control. I don't even think having a mate is in the cards for me... ✨🌘✨ I jumped when the final horn sounded, circling the garden before everyone became silent. They all returned to their seats, my father rising from his chair as I stood from my seat along with the other pups. I struggled to breath as we took our position, standing in the centre away from everyone else. My father offered me a reassuring glance though it did nothing to ease my anxiety, all I had to do now was wait. My eyes widened when the moons blue light shined down on me, illuminating my skin as I stared up at the sky in awe. "We thank the moon goddess for the power of her light..." I dropped my gaze back down, my fathers words surrounding us, "...Shall it bathe you and grant you strength, agility, speed like the wolf..." The pups around me began to moan in pain, capturing my attention as I furrowed my brows. Their features were all contorted by an invisible pain that inflicted them but I felt absolutely nothing. My heart raced when their groans of pain became screams but I- I suddenly drop to the ground, a painful throbbing in my head forcing me to the ground. I grip the sides of my head, screaming. I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups. Looking down at myself, I only see my body, no paws and no fur. I hadn't shifted... ✨🌕✨ Book 2* 'The Wolven King' is the first book and must be read in order to understand this one. ⚠️ WARNING!! "So we're gonna drive up there and then you're gonna kill me." I turned to him with a stunned look on my face and he frowned. "What No! We're gonna climb it." He exclaimed before reaching over in the backseat and handing me knee pads and elbow pads. "Oh so we're gonna climb it and you're gonna make me fall?" I question again, I'm finding myself so funny. "No. We're not even climbing all the way to the top." We got out the car and walked to the foot of the cliff and continued to talk. "Obviously, if you're gonna kill me half way up." Mid-tut, Zion pushed me aside and I stumbled laughing. "The joke is dead Lil." Oh the irony. And I'm still not done. "That's what it's gonna say on my gravestone." I pout dramatically and place a hand on my chest. Zion tries his hardest not to smile but in fact blurts out laughing."Two people climb a cliff how many come down?" "No Zion don't do it!" I yelled an covered my eyes,I still heard him chuckle 10ft above me. "Don't worry Darlin,I won't fall....I'm gonna jump." I lifted my head up just in time to see him jump off the wall and into the pool. Zion curse loudly saying "the water is fucking freezing." "C'mon in." I hope he's fucking Joking? I'm not getting in there, not a chance. Zion approached me, his body dripping wet and he held me close to him."Forgive me." He whispered,I raise my eyebrow at him but don't get to ask my question and instead I am thrown into the water. "Zion!" I squeek as I land,he comes waltzing back into the pool and immediately approaches me. Zion grips my waist tightly and keeps us both a float because he can actually touch the floor. Screw being small. "Like I said, forgive me." His eyes look into mine and I turn my head downwards refusing to make any further eye contact. Z's smirk tells me this isn't gonna last long. Fingers skim against my cheek, chests pressed against Each other and lips slowly hovering. Then it happened again,no warning,no stupid joke, it just happened. Zion King kissed me.

An hourglass was once used to show the passage of time, a tiny vile consisting of two glass bulbs connected vertically by a narrow neck which allowed for the trickle of sand from the upper bulb to the lower. An object of delicate beauty it demonstrated to the world what many feared most in life. Time running out. While what it represented was feared, none could ever look away as the sprinkle of sand moved silently into the lower bulb, filling as the top emptied. There was something majestically tranquil about how easily the sand slipped through the opening. And while an hourglass is most alluring to us, it still stands by its purpose. Our time will run out, no matter what we do to try and stop it. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * "She belongs with us, we're taking her back." his voice was harsh, a spit of fire to his words and I felt its flame run down my spine. I didn't reply because while I knew there was logic to his words I couldn't stop the curl of fury like a snake slithering up my body as the claim shot through my head, untamed. She is mine, she belongs to me. "Come get her." I invited, the threat evident in my voice and I heard him scoff in return. "You have asked for what is coming, Fox." he snarled down the phone before hanging up and I felt it in the pit of my stomach. Our time was up. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
