You're Wondrous!

I'm Aashna, a simple 24-year-old girl, studying medicine. I'm born to simple hardworking engineers. Mom has always been supportive and loving, but things with dad weren't the same. He was drunkard. I still remember times when we shared a beautiful bond but that was nearly 15 years ago. He had become a miser and an abusive man over the years. Fights, arguments and abuses were common in my house, mom never complained and endured it all. I always end up saying just one line to her, "You're wondrous!"
She didn't skip one day of her work, nor made me feel alone even once, despite having tons of her own problems to deal with but I never stopped to thank her for all she did!

This story is about an event in my life which taught me who I really am and what I'm meant to be. The true nature of my mother was revealed and she proved herself yet again, to be Wondrous.
