Before modern technology, before cellphones, before most cars, even before common electricity, there were two boys. Clay and George had fallen in love, in a time where they couldn't. Homosexuality was forbidden in their time. They struggled to find time together in secret, Clay being a city boy and George being a simple farm lad. How can they find love in a time where their love is prohibited? Yes, this fanfiction is inspired by Mother Mother's 'Hayloft'. If any of the people whose characters are based on them express any discomfort, I will not hesitate to take this story down or edit it to respect their boundaries.
