Before modern technology, before cellphones, before most cars, even before common electricity, there were two boys. Clay and George had fallen in love, in a time where they couldn't. Homosexuality was forbidden in their time. They struggled to find time together in secret, Clay being a city boy and George being a simple farm lad. How can they find love in a time where their love is prohibited?
Yes, this fanfiction is inspired by Mother Mother's 'Hayloft'.
If any of the people whose characters are based on them express any discomfort, I will not hesitate to take this story down or edit it to respect their boundaries.

I am @DNFshipperlolXD 's alt account, so I am the same person. Don't report me, this story is mine. IF you need proof, just message my other account and set up a system that'll prove it to you.
Clay struggles with home life, and his social life isn't the greatest either. George on the other hand is the popular kid in school, having no issues at home and no issues with his social life. The two used to know eachother, but something happened after Clay turned four and George never saw him again. What happens when the two cross paths for the first time in thirteen years?
This is a very slow burn, fluff filled fanfiction, with some questionable parts, but I just wanted to make this as detailed as I could, so I'm sorry about that.

❗DISCLAIMER❗
This story contains heavy and touchy subjects like physical and verbal abuse. It also has mentions of alcohol and drugs, as well of brief suicide comments and homophobic slurs. This happens throughout the whole book so people who are sensitive to these topics, I urge you not to read.
George and Dream have stated they are comfortable with fanfictions about them, but at any given time they say they are uncomfortable, I will take this story down immediately.
As for the cover art, @dnfwow on twitter made it.
