the vessel blinked slowly, her eyes devoid of shimmer and her gaze fixed upon the defeated electro archon kneeling before her. the air around them felt thick, oppressive, and the silence hung heavy, only broken by the sharp, laboured breaths that escaped her own lips. breathing had become something she did out of instinct..like a human.
were she not a mere vessel, the very essence of this realm would have surely overwhelmed her, the suffocating atmosphere and the stale, lifeless air enough to send her into unconsciousness.
"but," she whispered, her voice fragile, "could you at least see me... as y/n?"
