Hermione Granger is a badass. She led the French Ministry of Magic Auror department in arrests and frequently kicked ass in the field. Leaving Britain was a big decision that she was confident in.
Hermione Granger also possibly- just maybe- had a crush on Draco Malfoy during their 8th year. And only during their 8th year. Obviously Hermione knew he had changed and grown since then, but that didn't mean her feelings had continued to grow.
Definitely not.
She definitely did not still harbour feelings for this man despite their only correspondence having been through letters twice a week -give or take a few- over the last 4 years since graduation. It was only a few letters... twice a week or so give or take... so maybe a few hundred letters...
It might have been close to 500 letters.

When Hermione finds her self coming back to Hogwarts for a Manditory 8th year, she is put in a place she shouldn't be. A place too close to Draco Malfoy a place were it should be impossible for her to stand and Draco is determined to find out why and how.
