Scientists created a chip that's placed in the brain, to search your memories, dreams, and even your thoughts. Nothing is secret in this community. Privacy is against the law and secrets aren't allowed to be kept. Privacy and secrets is trouble in everyone's lives. No one owes the world as much as the one who searches for answers.
Becca Goodlead is a 14 year old girl who can't think about anything else than the society she grows up in. One day her old friend Danie shows up at her window to show her something, which is one secret that's hard to keep. Danie, a boy who wants nothing more than to break the rules the government has created and to make a life for himself.
What happens when Becca learns that keeping some secrets are safe? Until the one who realizes the secrets that do exist are worse than the ones she's tattles on. That rules are meant to be followed and as they say, "Keeping secrets are harder and more dangerous than the chip."
