Soren never expected to find a random vampire in the library, but to be honest, Crow didn't expect to be found. Now they're roommates - one juggling college and a job, and the other trying to understand how to use a phone. Who said it was supposed to be easy?
If trying to conceal a whole vampire wasn't hard enough, Crow and Soren have to deal with transphobia, people who can't mind their own business, and apparently some sort of clichéd townwide mystery? They're fine though. They're completely fine.

It was against the law for vampires to be with any other beings than their own kind. The magic realm was filled with different monsters and creatures that were a risk to human kind, which was why they stayed hidden. They were deemed so dangerous, that they were hunted by a different species: angels. Vampires and angles had been at war for centuries, with the heavenly-like creatures winning every battle. But it was important to keep the two species separate, as angel blood was the cure to any vampire becoming human again, keeping in mind that once bitten by a vampire, for an angel it was sudden death. However in this day and age, vampires walked freely amongst the city. After all, they needed humans to feed and in order to do that, they had to blend in. The war between vampires and angels had to be kept secret from human kind, and the species had to stay apart. There a was a layer of concern just under Todd's indifferent tone, and the protectiveness that seemed ever present in Todd when they were younger and Todd was always saving Levon from his problems. Levon's anger seemed to melt away at that familiar sense of security. "I'm good," Levon spoke finally and a soft smile spread over his lips. "Are you good?" "I'm good," Todd said gruffly. "Are we good?" Levon asked and Todd scoffed. "What we. There is no we. We're not friends." "Wouldn't want you as a friend anyway," Levon snickered. "You're kind of an asshole."
