It so happens that Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji dies at the Guanyin Temple incident.
They reincarnate in the modern era, one belonging to a wealthy family of scientists but orphaned at the age of 2 and adopted soon after and loved dearly.
The other one from the noble family of best perfume-makers in the city through years.
They meet through a series of incidents, which lead them to their forgotten past, in an unexpected way; but before all the mishaps took place; when they first met; when LWJ started to have feelings for WWX or maybe not.
