In the year of 2394, after the 3rd world war had come and went, there was one girl in particular that stood out among the rest. Summer was what most would consider an ordinary girl living in the ruins of Southern California with her 3 siblings: an older sister and 2 younger brothers.
Her mom was a hard working woman while her dad went MIA when her brothers were born.
One day while cleaning their attic, she stumbled upon a letter from her dad with her name on it. That doesn't send warning bells yet.
Imagine this: finding a letter from your missing father that told you to flee to the lonely mountains in the west and look for his "people" there. Strange, right?
Now, imagine finding out that your dad is apart of an intergalactic military that is currently at war with dark forces and you are their next savior. Now that sends warning bells.
Follow Summer as she races across the Galaxy in hopes to reach the planet Kyrie in hopes to stop the enemy before it's too late.

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. But with the clock ticking, Charlotte's new found family may just end up like her own, dead and destroyed, if Emmi is exposed to the disease that her father tried so hard to protect her from.Complete

It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. At that exact moment her window smashed and something flew into her room. It was a flock of them; they attracted the house and only took one thing: the girl. She remembers it clearly, the way she screamed scared out of her mind. The way it grabbed her waist and took off. She remembers screaming for help but no one came to her rescue. Oh how she wishes that she left her safety knife in her room. Then they would be safe. Her family! She just hopes they were fine, but the conclusion that she was taken says that her family would be back to normal soon. She sighs and thinks over her life. From a little kid she was always the loner. But her family loved her to death. It all changed when she turned ten. The world was changing. She remembers the exact day at the exact time. Her birthday; she calls it the hell day. Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. Even as Kalli struggles for independence her proximity to the Prince draws her into Imperial politics and the tension between the Emperor and the Cirts. Now the girl who wanted to make all of her own decisions is going to have to decide if her new friends are worth opposing the Emperor. Elis turns out to be someone else, and when another man swoops in every time Maxine is in danger, she becomes confused about what love really is. The Advisors, the ten women governing the world, want to assimilate the people of the island, not knowing that those people have an extreme advantage over them. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Those who had been affected by this mutation were no longer recognizable. They were monsters rampaging through the devastated world. That is until a strange case where a woman was infected but did not mutate. She was thought to have been the cure. Little did they know she was actually the cause for the world we live in today. That's right she was the first, Tina Primrose, the virus eventually seemed to died off as the descendants of Tina became hunters who'd hunter their brethren with the abilities gifted to them through the blood of Tina Primrose. Then there was the war between the remaining humans and those monsters. Naturally the humans won with our aid. Life was fine as we rebuilt the world until the day of our betrayal. The new government formed by the humans banished us from this world and we were hunted down. The last surviving members of the Primrose bloodline were two siblings. A Boy named Dakota Isaragi Primrose and his sister formed a group known as L.U.N.A. An Organization dedicated to those who have been born with the cursed bloodlines to find solace. The government attacked the organization but to save his brethren Dakota struck a deal with the Government to spar the lives of the members of the organization if he turned himself over to the government. Sadly, he was also betrayed. His brethren slain and his memory wiped the government believed they'd won but, the battles only just begun.

In a faraway constellation of Canis Major , a superior intelligence exists. It's form unknown. Scientist Ira has always known it for they spoke to her, inviting her to visit. Yet all her proposals to her Boss Jan for galactic travel or for worm holes were cancelled, pushing her to lunar missions and advising on practicality. One day Ira notes a signal coming from the between the space of the twin stars of Sirius. She responds back inviting the intelligence to visit the earth, specially her. The intelligence whom she refers as Sirius starts to speak to her, visit her in her dreams and often take over her body in experiences she did not believe possible. Jan warns her detecting her changes and reminding her earth is home and he could give her a future together but attracted as she is to him, she is unstoppable in her quest of the twin stars of Sirius. Then one day Jan knocks on her door, yet this was not her boss she knew. This was a man with deep understanding of space and wormholes and her. He extends his hand for a travel through time and space, assuring nothing but an experience of her deepest wish, galactic travel through the worm holes. But once on the planet between the two Sirius es, Ira realises this Jan was a shape shifter, she does not recognise him or know if he was the same man from her work. She however knows an earthly being like her would never survive there. As Jan reveals himself as the Prime Advisor of the planet, ruthless about everything but the survival of the planet and its people, he chains her literally to his side. In her mind comes the warning he will literally absorb her life and then discard her is a barren space. Desperate she tries to jump into the worm hole only to realise that the twin stars created a mirage worm hole had pushed her further into the abyss of nothingness where not even one star was in sight. Desperate she asks for assistance. Yet when it appears would she be able to accept it.
