Hailey didn't want to fit in anyway. The idea of perfect for Pinemarsh was not something she wanted to associate herself with. She had her dad and best friend Nolan, and she liked spending most of her time in the forest where she lived with her dad. But life wasn't easy when the two most popular people in High school had it out for you. She had been counting the days until graduation since kindergarten and now that she started her Senior year, her freedom was finally in sight. 

Then something strange started happening to her. Something, or someone, showed up in the forest. The shadow followed her around but never came close enough for her to see who, or what, it was. But this was only the start. Hailey was about to find out that she played a critical role in a world that she didn't know existed.
