Erasmus doubles over, an ever increasing pain shooting up every muscle of his body. A numbness begins eating away at his limbs. The blury image of his grandfather cracking a derranged smile only adds to the confusion. As he falls to his knees, his thick eyebrows furrow as he can't help but feel betrayed. Was he poisoned? Gassed? Whatever it was, it was working fast and he was counting away the seconds as they passed by.
