Alina was born in Palestine and has lived through some of the most intense and horrid wars in the country. At the age of 14, she and her family move to California for a new start. Since singing is her passion, she auditions for American Idol. As she journeys through the show, she receives a lot of praise for her voice, but she also deals with criticism and racism because she's Arab and Muslim. On top of that, she feels pressure because some fellow Muslims don't approve of her. Will her fame really be worth the heavy price she's paid for it?

NOTE: This story should have been rated PG-13 instead of G. I changed all my chapters to PG-13, but I don't know why it still says G.

There are endless examples of "girl hates boy, boy makes girl fall in love, boy and girl live happily ever after" stories. This is just another one. But that's not all. Nazeeha Afzal cared only for three things: God, her job, and her girls. She paid no attention to those around her and did what she had to do to be happy. To the world she was intelligent, independent, and responsible. For those who really knew her, she was pure-hearted, wise, and free spirited. At only 20, she understood how the world worked and she wasn't one to keep quiet about it either. And that's exactly why she and Ali would not get along. Ali Al-Ameen was every girl's perfect man. Charming, funny, and could sing Bollywood songs for days, Ali had no problem becoming best friends with every stranger he met on the streets. This 20 year old lived for excitement, adventure, and the thrill of being alive. It was a shame he fell in love with the one girl who was just like him in every way, but he'd never be able to see it. Nazeeha and Ali were two sides of the same coin, but Nazeeha lived her life carefully. She despised those who had nothing to worry about and strived to bring justice and equality to those harmed by the inequalities in the world. She never saw Ali as anything more than a spoiled, rich kid and he finally met the one person whose walls he couldn't break through. This is your ordinary love story, but about a pair of extraordinary souls. Part of the Al-Ameen Family series: 1. Through the Dark 2. One Way or Another 3. Good For You 4. Naina

#4 in highschoollovestory on 11/2/2020 ****This book starts off with the present time of a wedding and reveals a hidden love story**** Now, going to be married, Sairah reminisces about her past love story. Sairah's a hijabi... and life as a hijabi isn't easy at Kendale High School. Sairah is witty, sarcastic, modest and beautiful. She receives looks of admiration, and hatred because of her loyalty to her religion. However, one day someone takes things too far... Ahmed, the new kid was also Muslim and had just moved to LA. He's bold, charming, egoistic, handsome, and sometimes gets a little too in over his head. However, when Sairah's and his path clash insults are exchanged and so is flattery. Learn the eventual result of these two hot-headed Muslims and where life takes them... Both start off with a rather teasing and sarcastic friendship, but time leads them into something more-- something beautiful. ************************************************************************************************ "Now? Now I have to deal with you throwing all your hard work for a girl! A girl Ahmed! A girl!" He emphasizes 'girl' with annoyance and disappointment. I clench my jaw getting heated. "Dad she is NOT some girl okay! I love her and she loves me! She is more than just some girl!" I soften my tone, "dad I love her okay and I'm not leaving NYU because of her. I'm not even thinking about NYU for her. And for our future together." I try to reason with my dad who is shaking his head in disbelief. "Ahmed I know you care about her okay. There's nothing wrong with falling in love-- unless she's taking you away from your life plan!" My dad explains visibly frustrated. "Dad, it was never my life plan to begin with. It was yours!" I run a hand through my hair. ************************************************************************************************ ALSO, THIS STORY IS A TAD RELIGIOUS BUT IT IS FICTIONAL
