Eight months ago, Lucella reached its darkest point, and it has been down there ever since that fateful day. Twelve-year-old Lucinda Emerson had forced herself to endure witnessing the tragic losses of her family and friends, but she was oblivious to what would come next. A familiar face has forcibly made her way into the picture and wants nothing more than to see Lucinda suffer for what Officer Roselia did in the past. Questions that she once had were finally answered, but the prices for them were expensive. More mysteries about the infection were thrown in her way, and Lucinda realizes that there was a slight possibility of someone, or something, pulling the strings.
