He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! Lesson Learned {Student Teacher Romance}
My whole life is 'have to.' I have to work full-time to pay the bills and keep food on the table. I have to finish college for a chance at a better job, no matter how long it takes. I have to manage my mom's sobriety so I can keep her out of jail. I have to keep a smile on my face, so no one knows how hard it's been. Now, I have to ignore the curious feelings that flutter in my chest whenever my devastatingly handsome new English professor, Fitzwilliam Benedict, is nearby. Of course, that's kind of impossible because I have to face his storm-tossed eyes and broad shoulders in class every other evening if I want to graduate with my perfect grade-point intact. And it's getting harder to ignore the way his thoughtful gaze sees all the way down to the truth I don't want anyone to know. Our kismet connection is a major complication that could torpedo everything I've worked for...Or this could be the most valuable lesson, ever. 📚🎓 Just a heads up that this isn't fully edited (yet), so you may notice typos or spelling errors! Her father left. The perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. Claire needed her father. Her mother works hard, but hard to keep the neighbors impressed. Then, her dad runs away to be a rock band roadie. Her 4.5 AP Nerdfest brother is accused of raping and murdering a girl with Special Needs. And when she and her best friend go on a runaway road trip--they end up in a truck with sex traders. Claire's world spins out of control--until it doesn't. It is 2008 and In 2008 the whole world changed. And not just because the iphone came out in 2007. It wasn't just the families of the OC Housewives that were living a reality show; so many families seemed to be all about "the house" and not "the home." Sunglasses cost hundreds of dollars and "bags" were thousands. Everything had a label that said you spent a lot of money. People went crazy buying another house, a boat, a Hummer (at 10 miles to the gallon). I distinctly remember two couples, in their late 30s, who were shopping together in Toys R Us. They had a video camera and were discussing the "rules" to this shopping trip. The rules were they had to look into the camera and say what they were buying, for who and why. And the carts had to be overflowing with toys. It was as if they had dreamed their entire lives of doing a "who cares how much it costs" shopping spree at Toys R Us for their children. Just recklessly spending on a bunch of STUFF. That was 2007. And then came 2008. But, more disturbing to me, was the impact it had on families. I think moms and dads lost themselves in providing stuff for their kids and not giving their kids time. And I saw the kids suffer because of it. So, I did a little research and a lot of observing and I wrote a mostly fictional story about an upper-middle class family in the OC. It explores (it simple terms) what was going on in the economy and what teenagers really want from their parents...Complete

Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy and a Guy. The talented twists of souls that combine to make the club are intertwined with the harsh reality of addiction. Did you know that people whom have addictions generally also are prone to high intelligence. As per Verata Health: Specifically, the study found that men who had a mean IQ score of 109 (the highest in the study) were trying drugs much earlier and also used drugs more frequently than those who tested with an IQ of 100. So the questions go through your hypothesis. Yes, each parent, friend, partner or loved one asks these questions! WHY?? These hypotheses argue that intelligent people who use drugs: Are easily bored - As a result, they look for new and novel things to push their mind. Drugs, being a dangerous and risky thing, entertain and even challenge their minds. Need new challenges - Success often comes easily to intelligent people and they may need to overcome new challenges regularly in order to feel a sense of personal progress. And what is more difficult than beating addiction? Try to fuel their creative fires - Intelligence and creativity are highly linked and the myth that drug use helps fuel creative genius has been spread for centuries. Unfortunately, this may lead intelligent people to try drugs. The Swear I Never Would Club consists of many members. I'd like to introduce you too some of them, if you'll let me. These stories are loosely based on people I've met throughout my journey through addiction and beyond. I am writing this as I experienced it through real situations and twisted tales.
