Freya Volkov is a 6th year Slytherin. She arrived at Hogwarts in her 3rd year having grown up in Russia with her parents. At the age of 10 both her parents died in seperate incidences. Her mother's death saw her move to her father's homeland of Germany, where she met the man who would become her adopted father. Soon her father's death came and she was moved by her new guardian to England. He blamed her for her parents, who he was close friends with, deaths and therefore treated her poorly. She was forced to clean and cook, and he would mentally and physically abuse her. Throughout her years attending Hogwarts it only got worse. At school she exceeded. Top of all her classes, and one of the best potions students Hogwarts had ever seen. Freya also played Quidditch for Slytherin in the role of Seeker. Despite her knowledge and sporting talent, along with a kind heart and manners she never made friends. Instead she was teased. Being alone in a world where she thought everyone hated her resulted in Freya developing some unhealthy eating habits, as well as depression, and anxiety. She had a severe stutter which only increased the target she was for bullying.

How does her potions professor, who she'd always admired, react when he begins to learn about the extent of Freya's hardships? How does he help her? Can he save her?
