Gabriel Harris left his wife during the winter of 1775 to join the Continental forces after witnessing the brutal murder of a friend by the hands of a British officer. A year later, he finds himself preparing for a surprise attack on the Hessian mercenaries in Trenton. While everyone's spirits are low, and the soldiers desire to go home, he not only encourages his tent mates, but unconsciously prepares to give the greatest gift he can give to his wife, his child, his brothers-in-arms, and his country. Featured in Wattpad's short story list "Another Time, Another Place". (This story does not follow historical accuracy. All of the characters I use are original characters, and the plot is original.)

On December 16, 1773, the colonists were sick of the British rule. So late at night, they went to the Boston Harbor, boarded the 3 ships, and dumped the tea into the water. This event, commonly known as "The Boston Tea Party," led to the fight for independence in America. The colonists who participated in this event were all white americans. But- what if they weren't? A different side of the same story, read about a young slave named Darcaue, who will show readers what it might have been like to be apart of such a historic event- as a black man. *This story is about 10,000 words or 18 pages long*
