Darry caught the flu and has a fever but tries to hide it from everyone even his best friend and loving brother, Soda-pop. When Soda does find out about his big brother's illness, Darry tries to put the attention on other things rather than himself which drives Soda mad, he tries to take care of Darry to the best of his ability but Darry pulls out the, "Big brother's fine Soda! Don't worry!" card. It hurts Soda more than the amount of pain Darry feels.
