Under the care of the Grandelle family, Karma grew up with an unusual childhood compared to other children. Instead of learning etiquette, history, embroidery and art, nor magic and swordmanship, she learns the art of killing. She was equiped at a tender age with the skills on how to kill monsters and dismantle their carcasses, vanquish a Darkling and even assassination. As the Imperial family and other noble families take notice of her growing talent, they fear that one day she may become a threat for them and so they began pressuring the Grandelle family. In guise of having Karma experience the other aspect of life, social interaction with people her age and a life of being a student, they are resolute in having her stay under the prying eyes of the Merivale Royal Academy.
