This fanfic takes place after Unlocked, which ends (spoiler alert) with Keefe leaving. Sophie's heartbroken about him being gone, maybe forever, but the Neverseen is still a threat to her and her friends and family. After losing Keefe, Sophie's not here to play their games anymore. 2/14/22: #1 in sokeefe!! Love, Keefe. Love, Keefe. Love, Keefe. Sophie couldn't seem to get the words out of her head. ~~~~ "You never know how much you love someone until you lose them." (a sokeefe fanfiction ☺️) It's been weeks since Keefe left and what has Sophie accomplished? Absolutely nothing. She's been lying in her bed feeling sorry for herself, trying to make sense of the new and confusing emotions coursing through her. Then terrifying, life-changing information comes to light. Suddenly Sophie is swept up in a disastrous tangle of events, all while trying to fix her mistakes, find Keefe, and take down the Neverseen. But will she be able to do it? Or will her grief be too much to handle? Keefe has been hiding. He's been moving throughout the Forbidden Cities, staying out of sight, dodging police, and most of all, trying to control his new ability. But just when Keefe thinks he's left the Lost Cities behind for good, a mysterious stranger shows up, claiming to know everything about him and even promising him answers to his past. This is a SoKeefe fan fiction but can be read as a normal story without any spoilers from the books. Some characters in here aren't in the books so if you decide to read them don't be looking for them. She has lost her parents and even her little sister the day after her boyfriend-that she thought she loved- broke up with her. She is now living with her big brother Grady, and his wife Edaline. He is sick of parents that don't love him, parents that couldn't care less about him. He was sick of friends using him for money and popularity. Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait. (this is a Keeper of the Lost Cities Soulmate/Human AU and Biana and Fitz are cousins. Enjoy) Sophie Foster is well aware of the words that show up on your wrist at the age of 16. It's the first sentence your soulmate says to you. Sophie's 16th Birthday is coming up soon and she is dreading the day. Ironically, her birthday is a week before Valentines Day. In attempt to ignore her soulmate, she avoids boys-even her friends. But that changes when she meets Fitz. He's hot. He's kind. He's smart. He's perfect. When he asks Sophie to be his Valentine, how can she refuse? They must be soulmates. Just because some words weren't on Fitz's wrist yet doesn't prove anything. It was meant to be. They both know it.
