It's hard to follow her dreams when society expects her to follow the stereotypical norms of a housewife. Louise yearns for more out of life rather than staying at home to raise children and watch over the house. Louise wants to share and explore the undiscovered stories in which the world holds so deeply. On the very day Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan, Jospeh and Louise's world collide forming an undeniable bond. Even though both come from different wealth classes. The two who are still so young and innocent are forced to open their eyes to a cruel reality of their devastating world. A world war is no place for two innocent people longing to follow their dreams. Things get even more complicated when they're both forced to go on an unpredictable journey to find hidden treasure to just keep the people they love alive. A stubborn, introverted fifteen year old girl, Celina refuses to believe the many stories of the horrific genocide against the Jews, often turning a blind eye to anything that reminds her of the war. But when she unwittingly promises to hide two Jews in a home she does not have, Celina must journey across Europe with these strangers in search of lady who might be able to rescue them. They are filthy, they are broken, and Celina cannot seem to control the hatred burning inside her. Together they travel town to town, witnessing each cities own branch of horrors, even hiding in basements of strangers. In ways painfully unimaginable to Celina, these two Jews affect her life in the deepest of ways. There used to be a time where the world feared Locatlie. This time was merely decades ago. They thought that the Locatlie family was untouchable, they couldn't come near anyone anymore after the War of hearts. But the people that lived through the War of Hearts got soft, they either died or forgot it happened in the first place. Their children got children and those children forgot whom they were dealing with. Nobody thought that anybody could compete with Queen Julia. The queen whom brought down nations. Until I came along. You think Julia had it rough? Pfft. Her life was a fucking cake walk compared to mine- but lets not get ahead of the story. Julia might be the queen that brought down the nations, but I was the one that made them beg for mercy while burned them all to the ground.
