Rae Bennett is a normal teen girl. Kind of. She doesn't have many friends because she keeps to herself. She's usually found at the skate park, or in her dad's garage working on small mechanical stuff.

She doesn't try to pick fights with people, but she's ready to defend herself if needed. Like this time. One of the school jocks picks a fight with Rae, and she ends up in detention.

Not the first time she's been there. And definitely not the last.

In detention, she meets four people, who she can just barely stand. That's until they get sucked into a video game. Literally.
