As soon as they enter the Institution a weird mist covers up their whole face and they fall to the ground, waking up in a school gym. They all look at each other with confusion, little did they know, a killing game was about to start.

Also, this story isn't meant to take on canon Danganronpa plots, for example, instead of using Kokichi's D.I.C.E members from the official game, I decided to use Danganronpa V3 main characters.
