Holding On | Bucky Barnes
It's been two months since Y/N returned to the Compound, but despite her best efforts, she can't seem to escape her trauma. Nightmares haunt her at night, while memories stalk her during the day; a never-ending cycle that she hopes she can smile her way through. She finds distraction in her busy schedule and a few quiet moments in-between, but no matter how hard she tries, she can't forget. And now that the world knows who she is, she likely never will. Some see her as a hero, others see her as a weapon. Y/N doesn't know which to believe-especially with the little control she feels she has over her life anymore. The journey to recovery is never easy, but Y/N thinks it may be impossible. *** [Part 2 of Reaching Out] [Bucky Barnes X Reader] [1st person POV] MAIN THEMES FROM PART 1: Y/N with powers, moving in with the Avengers, Bucky+Y/N romance, quick-burn, drama and trauma (of course), fluff on fluff on fluff. NOTES: Follows a timeline where Hydra is still active after 2014 (CA:WS), Avengers didn't break up after Civil War, and takes place ~one year after Bucky's return from Wakanda.Complete

When SHIELD agent Y/N helped Captain America readjust to the modern world, she was full of optimism and hope. Then she saw the destruction and devastation caused by the Avengers over the years and decided to set up a new department at the organisation - Project Sunrise. After six months of putting her heart and soul into Sunrise, she gets transferred by Nick Fury to help a certain other super soldier readjust at the request of Steve Rogers. She knows it's not going to be easy, but some of the best sunrises happen after a stormy night. Takes place after CA:Civil War but doesn't follow MCU events. Broken Start// b. barnes
"Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?" Bucky flirted. I rolled my eyes at this guys antics. "No, but it did hurt clawing my way out of Hell." His smirk fell. He turned to Steve with a raised brow. "Where did you find her?" He asked him, pointing at me. Steve shrugged, smirking. "She's one of a kind." -------- "Who would you rather date? Me or Steve?" Bucky asked, his head in my lap as I played with his hair. "Do you want the truth?" I asked him, amused. He nodded. "Steve." Bucky shot up in his seat, baffled. "What? Why?" I smirked at him, shrugging I said, "He's cute. Besides, who wouldn't have a crush on him? I did." He grumbled under his breathe getting up from the couch walking towards the door. "Hey, where are you going?" I called after him. "To remind the little punk that you're mine." He growled. -------- [Book 1 ] [The Hidden Stories Series] [Part of Across The Multiverse Series] {Set during Captain America: The First Avenger } {Bucky Barnes x Female OC} I only own Kitara Danvers and her plot. All credits go to Stan Lee and Marvel's Captain American: The First Avenger, though I wish I can own it but sadly I do not.Complete
