June 8th 2025, almost exactly 6 years since Nero last saw Vergil. Almost exactly 6 years...after he found out he had an actual family...
A lot happened during these 6 years on both Nero's and Vergil's end: While Nero became a father himself and continued protecting his hometown, Vergil had the time to self reflect on his life.
The little journey Vergil made as half of a whole really made him see the world and his life choices differently. For the first time in his life, he felt worry and - especially - regret. Regret for hurting all these innocent people in Red Grave, hurting his brother. Regret for not being there for Nero. He never knew of his existence and yet...
It was Dante who ultimately decided to go back to Red Grave. The demon hunter claimed to be missing his Demon Hunting shop 'Devil May Cry', but these moments of contemplating that his brother had didn't elude him. This was the moment Vergil had to talk to his son.
