Janine Gills, a 14 year old from Nebraska, loves to read and write more than life itself. She prefers staying home and 'hibernating' over calling up a few friends and going to the movies. Janine has more internet friends than real-life friends. Then one day, four of her favorite authors come to her city for a tour, a fan meet-and-greet, and most excitingly, a chance for one of their fans to work for their author of choice. All this is exciting for Janine, and she knows she definitely has to step up her game to be noticed by one of the authors. Can she become an authors apprentice, or will continue to read and reread their works?
