After her mother is murdered seventeen year old Kayla Normina must cope with the loss. All while being told by her Uncle Adrian that she has superpowers, and she must keep away from Hendrix. Hendrix is a mortal who has dedicated his life to find a way to steal the abilities from superhumans. No one has seen him for years though, but Adrian figures he has something to do with the murder of Irene Normina.
Meanwhile Benjamin Smith an orphan boy who was adopted by Henry Smith when he was only 3 days old and didn't have a name, gets told to do something that he never would've expected his father to say. He must kill Kayla.
Both of them are only seventeen, what are they going to do?
