"Didn't you hear, Hermione? There's a new student here at Hogwarts." "Well? Spit it out Ron!" Hermione snapped clearly enjoying the book she was just interrupted from reading. "Well hold your horses I'm getting there," he huffed, "The new student was found by Professor Mcgonagall. Apparently she was living in the muggle world when she snapped and killed her parents, without a wand." "Ronald Weasley that's absurd, no wizard alive today can use magic without a wand. Not even Dumbledore could when he was alive." "That's the thing Hermione! She did just that, that's how Professor Mcgonagall found her. Due to the large blast radius of her magic they had to wipe an entire neighborhood's memories, well those that survived at least. The ministry was crawling all over the place! Haven't you read the paper?" He replied pulling a paper from his robes. There on the cover was a muggle neighborhood not so different from the one Hermione's very own parents lived in, the only difference was that it looked like someone set off an explosion in the middle of it. Several houses were barely standing and the ones that were were so heavily damaged that it would be better to tear them down and start anew. The picture blurred out from the decimated neighborhood and refocused on the center of the blast radius. Curled up in a ball at the center was a ragged shape of a person. The newspaper article said nothing of the name of the shape, nor what happened to them; meanwhile, the moving picture went back to the start and was once again showing an aerial view of the wreckage. "W-why would Professor Mcgonagall bring her here? How do you know it's the person from the article?" Hermione asked visibly shaken. "I didn't originally, but Harry told me last night when he got back from Hagrids."

― "You'd look exquisite in my undoing." ― Flora Moreau spoke in soft syllables and sharp truths. A Ravenclaw with ink-stained hands, she sketched the world as she saw it - not as it wished to be seen. Daughter of an ancient French bloodline, she had walked Hogwarts' halls for years, quiet as moonlight, untouchable as frost. Draco Malfoy loathed her. Her composure, her defiance, her refusal to give him the satisfaction of a single flinch. He provoked; she dismissed. He sneered; she smiled. And yet, she was in his mind - carved there like an etching he could not erase. She was everything he had been raised to hate, and everything he did not understand about himself. Their battles were fought in glances and words, in wit that cut deeper than curses, in the space between cruelty and longing - where the line between wanting her and destroying her blurred into damnation. ☽。⋆
