Alone

“Jump, Hayley. It’s either you or him, the choice is yours.”

As I stand there I think about how everything went from
peace and quiet to action and adrenalin in the course of mere weeks. Everything
used to be okay. It was enough for
me, my quiet life. I never had anything to worry about. But here I am, standing
at the edge of a cliff ready to die for a boy I didn’t even know as well as I
thought I did.
