Every year all the werewolf packs come together for a mate meeting ceremony. All of the of age males are lined up to find their mate.

The females of the packs are dressed in their best attire to be presented to the males in hopes of being picked as a mate. 

Female werewolves cannot know who their mate is they have to rely on the males to tell them. Only after they have sealed the bond will the female know. 

Elanor is a low level wolf in her pack. She has just turned 18 which is the age for females to be presented at the ceremony to find a mate.
