After years at war with eachother, and other magical creatures the humans decided to build a wall around their capital city- The Sterling Stronghold. Many families born and died in that place, many grew stronger and came into power. The noble blood line of the original king and queen- King Sterling and Queen Tayte became riddled and intertwined with the blood of Fae and Faery's along the way. The Fae and Faery nobility being conquered by the Humans throughout the year brought a shallow era of peace, one brutally ended by the war between magical creatures alike, the Sterling Stronghold staying out of the rampant war outside its walls.

Years after the end of the magical war, a dark forest emerged atop the corpses of the dead soldiers from all sides surrounding the Sterling Stronghold by a dense forest littered with Fae and Faery settlements. The center of the forest became the darkest part, people calling it the 'Black Circle' as it seemed to expel light, leaving it dark and damp. Yet unknown to those looking about, the Black Circle housed a cottage carved into a large, old oak. The house of the last remaining members of the Faery noble lineage- The Queen and Princess of Alannis, the birthplace of all magic and Fae, Faery kind. The throne remaining untouched for the ruins of the Grey castle lain before it. Ghosts of once stood strong lingered eerily amidst the empty streets lined with the ruins of the once powerful kingdom. The throne of Alannis beckoning out to its heir, calling forth a new era of peace.
