So, I wrote this for myself, not expecting anyone else would ever read it. I needed it, so I wrote it. When I was done I figured maybe someone else might need it, too, so here it is. The beginning might feel heavy or boring, but please hang in there because just like life - the good stuff comes out of the dark stuff.

Grace vowed to herself that she would rid herself of the broken, predictable life she had somehow fallen into and in its place, she would create a new life, one that truly fed her wanting soul. Reeling from an unthinkable experience, Grace moves to Stardew Valley, intent on recapturing the magic of her childhood. Instead, she finds herself on a ramshackle farm, void of childhood memories. Slowly, she discovers the true magic of the valley in the people who live there. (Main characters include Sebastian, Sam, Abigail, Penny)

Mature Content: Sebastian and Abigail are potty mouths. There is literally nothing I can do about it. :) You will also encounter mature storylines including physical and sexual assault, thoughts of suicide, and alcohol addiction.

The blood had already leaked down my forehead, but I kept my eyes on Shane and tried to blink quickly to clear my vision. "Hang on, please. Please hang on." He pleaded, holding my body up to a sitting position. I couldn't even remember what had struck me and I was getting nervous by Shane's worried face. "I'm... it hurts." I mumbled. "I'm so sorry." He held me closer. This time tears started to form in his dark green eyes but I could tell Shane didn't want to cry in front of me. My head started to feel more dizzy and I had to give in and close my eyes, much to Shane's dismay and his protests. I probably should've just listened to him from the start when he said don't go outside in this weather, but me being pissy with him and wanting to prove a point- I did and now I'm laying on the wet grass with a gash on my temple and an even bigger one on my leg. "We'll get you to Harvey." Shane said. I could hear his voice break at the end. He picked me up and started walking. "Please wake up." I wanted to so badly but I was exhausted from the hike and spending the night in the cold and shivering for hours. Shane's warm hands under my back and legs already felt way better. "This is all my fault. The one good thing to happen in my life...." Shane let out a sob but never stopped walking. I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was going to be alright. I could feel the blood still tripping down my leg and face, so I knew I couldn't make false promises but Shane needed me. He needs me. I'm his anchor, I'm the girl he leans on when he's feeling like he's losing. I have to do this. I opened my eyes again. --CW-- Swearing Abuse Drinking NSFW Blood Painful backstories Book cover was done by me but I used a reference from stardewvalleycowboy because i've never drawn Shane before ^^.
Frogs in the Rain (Stardew Valley // Sebastian) by StarfishOverlord
21 parts Complete Mature
"'You don't want to do this,' Nix pleaded, squeezing her eyes shut as she struggled backward, ripping her face from his meaty hand. 'A business isn't worth a human life!' 'Oh, please,' [̸̥̉͠Ḛ̴̏r̶̺̋͋͜r̵̖̥̒ǫ̷̓̿r̵̖̘̄͗]̸̣̾͝ spat, his face contorting with disgust. 'You're barely human.'" After her world comes crashing down on her, Nix Weekly quits her job and moves to her grandfather's old farm in Stardew Valley, Capricorn Grove. Her life can't get any worse, she figures. Besides, a half-blood like her? Perhaps she'd be better off in a place with less people to snicker and sneer at her appearance. It's not like her father's looks ever did her any favors anyway. Because Nix looks like a frog. And humans don't like frogs. Or so she thought. Because when Sebastian looks at her, all he can think about is how beautiful she would look in the rain. It's a shame someone wants her dead. ------ Man, I love frogs. *TW // Blood, swords/knives/guns, war flashbacks, violence, vulgar language, death, potentially disturbing imagery, the selling of people* ; This is one of the darkest fanfictions I've ever written, so keep these TWs in mind. Word count: Approx. 60,700 [Characters belong to ConcernedApe and Chucklefish, with the exception of Nix and a handful of minor characters. The story is original, apart from key details and heart events that make Stardew Valley recognizable.]

"I'd met my match with Sebastian. He was just as much of a loner as I was-maybe even more. We were the only two members of the anti-social social club. It met every Wednesday: under the covers of Sebastian's bed." Stella's memory of Stardew Valley isn't the greatest and she swore she'd never return. But when her father wants to sell her grandfather's farm, Stella reluctantly agrees to buy it off him, afraid that her memories of the valley will disappear altogether if she lets it slip away. As she returns to Pelican Town, the gaps in her memory start to revive as she meets new faces, and reunites with old ones. Her first friend is the extroverted, blue haired Emily, who becomes Stella's key insight into the lives of her neighbors in Stardew Valley. Her first crush is the easy-going, adorably clueless skateboarder, Sam, who she runs into on her very first full day in the valley. Sam is everything Stella is not, and maybe he's what she needs-someone to counteract her melancholic, reclusive personality. But when she meets his dark haired, moody and pessimistic friend Sebastian, who is the complete opposite of Sam, she becomes enthralled with him, wanting to crack through his tough exterior to see what lies beneath. Sebastian is everything she wants, but knows she doesn't need. She knows how he is, because she is the same way. He's like a carbon copy of herself and that only intrigues her more. She knows he's like poison, but the way he makes her feel becomes like an addiction. Will Stella let the skateboarder with a heart of gold melt her pessimism or will she meet her match with a guy just like her? As June settles back into Pelican Town for a fresh start, she expects a calm and peaceful life devoid of any haunting memories from the city. Little does she expect the secrets lurking within the Valley, along with the mysterious dark haired boy who keeps himself isolated from everything; that is, until her. ★ This story is a first person female narrative! The amazing artwork of Sebastian in the cover is NOT created by me (credit to @blacktreecle on Twitter!!!) Other artwork linked in the chapters belong to their rightful owners.
