It had black wings, it had pointy ears, it had glowing eyes, it had claws, it soared through the sky, it was invincible. These were the vague descriptions of The Batman, spoken from the words of witnesses, and criminals who have "encountered" this legend.
The Batman is a legend mainly told by the people of Gotham, rumors and stories, hoaxes and lies, whatever form it was in, they spread the word around. His popularity grew immensely, reaching out to outside of Gotham and to the rest of the world.
After taking down Bane's militia in Gotham, the Batman has yet to be heard of ever again. There are witnesses, but they lack concrete evidence of the existence of the Batman. Even when Batman tore down the invading militia in Gotham, there has never been any footage of his existence, hence he has become a legend, and a hoax.

This universe is not directly based on any specific Batman universe, It has hints of inspiration from other Batman works but ultimately its ideas I've thought of, even if something is in the story that's already been done, It's hard to do something new with these characters when there's so much out about them already, there's years of comic, live action, animated and fan iterations of the universe so it's genuinely hard to think of new events to put the character or characters through, That's why the absolute Batman universe has been getting so much love because of how different it is and how new it is because nobodies done anything with Batman's character or the universe like the creators of the Absolute Batman universe.Complete
