this is my contribution to Tokka Week 2021! the prompt was "Best Friends," which is sort of vague i realize but it was a fun opportunity to put some peer pressure on myself to finish this wip i've had taking up space in my brain for months. hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

Years before the Siege of Ba Sing Se, General Iroh discovers a young girl among the remains of a decimated Water Tribe village. Raised in the heart of the Fire Nation, she grows close to the young crown prince and accompanies him and Iroh on their adventures. ________________________________________________________________________________ **This is an old story I had written in my head years ago when the series was still on Nickelodeon, and most of what I had originally written out was dialogue, so I apologize for any lack of detail or imagery-I don't have much time to devote to it as I'd like. I've read quite a few fanfic stories out there and this one isn't very good in comparison, but I'll post it for others who might find it entertaining--it was certainly entertaining to write. Also, I understand a lot of readers don't like stories that follow canon. This one does follow the show for the most part, but eventually digresses, follows, and digresses again. Three chapters for three couples, each one complete with the secrets of each pair's relationship. - soooo you may recognize this type of fic from a tokka one-shot i wrote a while ago, and i decided (wayyy too long ago) to turn it into a series with my fave three couples in atla! as the summary says, there'll be three chapters, one for each couple, all in the same timeline with hints to the others in each pair's correspondence. the tokka one will be pretty similar to the one currently in my book of tokka one shots, with a few tweaks and time skips.Complete
