'He's always been like that. So determined yet understanding, a combination that pisses me off to no end and renders me speechless, every time.
Yet, he is always stuck around with me. For me.' - Zane -
Zane and Mike are best friends since they were in sixth grade. The first being a cold, calculating bully from an emotionally strained rich family while the other a stern yet trustworthy loner from quite an ordinary household. The two come to share a strong friendship that matures them and they slowly start including new people in their fellowship.
When they became 18 and reached their final year of high school in Aberdeen with a close circle of friends, situations occur that tear the group apart.
First the social exclusion of Mike due to a video showing him beating up other people and bullying Zane. Then a few sound files come up that accuse him of something entirely different. In both cases, Mike is ignored as he tries to understand why his friends pushed him aside. Odette, the voice of reason in their group, when she tries to analyze the situation, she is also thrown out of the group, being viewed as a 'stalker and an ally of stalkers'.
Zane is conflicted; he knows that something is wrong, but he ignores it because of the walls his ego has built around his heart.
Mike is hurt and disappointed; he knows that something is wrong but no one is willing to help him.
Will the group manage to restore their friendship? Will Odette figure out why this is happening? Will Zane and Mike become friends again? And who and why did this to them? Were the situations they went through real, coincidental pranking, bullying or something more sinister?
The story will be updated once every one or two weeks with a new chapter.

Zane, born inside New Vancouver, knows nothing beyond the walls. So when his life takes an unexpected turn from the predictable, easy life he knows, his world flips upside down. He's forced into a human experiment and cursed with supernatural abilities. He encounters a gorgeous boy, and his attraction to him is overwhelming and new. He meets others like him, other subjects of the awful experiment, and finds out just how tangled in the web of lies he is.
Zane, trapped inside a facility designed to keep him in, must deal with his unfamiliar attraction and friendships he develops. He struggles to force his old life away and take charge of his new life, but New Vancouver's claws are sunk in far too deep. Thankfully, he doesn't have to. His friends formulate an escape plan and run into some strange and unexpected accomplices along the way. A few felonies and a couple missiles later, Zane and his friends are free of the barbaric walls of New Vancouver. As secrets are revealed and pasts are brought into the light, Zane begins to feel closer and closer to the people he calls his friends. But the orchestrator of the experiment is relentless and pursues them furiously wherever they deem to go. Zane questions the morality of his actions as he fights for what he believes is right and aims to avert total nuclear war. He is forced into the dangerous life of a biological weapon and is thrust into a situation where there is only one choice: face your past or claim your future. And Zane fears he'll choose wrong.
