Long ago, the moon goddess separated the seven Alpha King's across the continents, granting them mates and their own kingdoms. She placed her own descendants as watchers, gifted with magic abilities to keep the kings in check. Soon the descendants of Selene would be hunted, persecuted and driven into extinction... their once sacred connection with the goddess now forgotten. Mira is a loner. After being taken in as an infant, her adoptive mother died protecting her, leaving her to be raised by her alcoholic father. She wants no part of the shackles of having a mate, content to live her life as a pack soldier, alone and free. When she meets King Eric, the most bloodthirsty of the seven kings, her life is turned upside down. When questions about her past come to haunt her, will she be able to embrace her destiny, and the fire that the wolf king ignites in her?
