"Well, were here Toby," Martyn Smiled, "And right on time!"
Two days before, the duo had both received letters inviting them to try RidgeDog's new mini game. Being great friends with the Demi God, the two had traveled from Martyn's forest to the location. The Game was described as a skill game, where you find clues to solve puzzles.
The Two walked over to the rule board in front of a large mansion, in which they assumed the game was inside the mahogany doors. Martyn started to read the rules, but found that his vision was swimming, making it hard to look directly at the board.
"T-T-Toby...? Are y...you sl-slightly dizzy?" Martyn slurred as he looked over to his friend, whom was on the ground instead of standing. He looked around, then up. A figure was hovering over him.
Martyn closed his eyes, falling backwards

This was the second time you've had a staring contest with the dead. You can't bring yourself to look away as your breath catches in your throat. Breathing is a struggle, but you are barely paying attention to that as you see his body get dragged away. You continue to look straight on, where his body used to be. It takes a few moments before you hear someone approaching you, leaves crunching under its boots. You feel them kneel beside you, slowly moving the restrains. You're supposing that they're loosening them, or doing something, but you just look at the floor, where he once was. You're unable to rip your eyes away from the spot. Even as this person unties your legs from your arms. You can feel the soreness and rope burns from being held is such an awkward position for so long. You can feel your wounds more clearly now, crying in pain, begging to be attended to, but you stay in the same uncomfortable position, zoning out. You begin to dissociate from the situation quickly, blinking occasionally was the only thing you can do. You feel yourself being lifted bridal style, and your head finally turns to meet your rescuer. Maybe it was the shock of it all, or your dissociative mind, but when you see the mouth guard, and the goggles, all you can do is say "Hey Toby." In a raspy and grading voice, gently resting your head into his shoulder. He pauses for a moment, and twitches hard. "H-Hi (y/n)." He greets before walking off with you in his arms. - (Y/n) loses both her parents, and it's up to her to help raise her sister. What happens when all of a sudden she starts acting strange and distant? Who are these mysterious people showing up at your doorstep? Read to find out! ((BE AWARE THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY LONG BOOK AND A SLOW BURN AT THAT)) This is a fem reader. I stg if one person asks me to make a GN or a male one I will. Just lmk

"You may not believe what I'm about to describe. You may call me a liar. You may laugh at my ridiculous story and consider it nothing but a figment of my imagination. But it isn't. All good stories start with an introduction, so that's how I'll start mine. My name is Mizuki Kokatsu, and I am the Ultimate Intellectual Prodigy." ------------------------------------- She thought she was going to Hope's Peak Academy. Well, technically, she was, but it definitely wasn't what she expected. Like anyone would expect to constantly fear for their life in a school like Hope's Peak. Although, once she had finally arrived there, it couldn't be called a school anymore. A more accurate term.... Would be "prison." ------------------------------------- "Now Playing" cues tell you what music would be playing in the background if this was a visual novel! If you want, hop onto YouTube, Pandora, Spotify, or wherever and play along! It really enhances the atmosphere!
