Ever since the sports festival, the so-called 'Bakusquard' started treating Denki poorly. It seemed like they only ever wanted to hang out with him as a last resort, and when they did talk to him it's just to ask if he could charge their phones or to make fun of him when he was fried. Denki started to feel lonely and eventually fell into a deep depression and began to have severe anxiety. During one horrific panic attack, Izuku found him and brought Denki to his dorm. There, he comforted Denki and let him spill out his thoughts and feelings. Izuku decides to first go and talk to his classmates and also begins to start and make Denki feel someone worth being around. Through this, a new relationship between the two begins to form.

Class 1-A just moved into the dorms and had a competition. The idea had been suggested by Asui, known by most of her class as Tsu, to get her spirits up. She had tried to get her classmates to not go against the law and save a kidnapped friend, but they did it anyway and that made her feel worthless. Most just thought she was sad she couldn't do anything, but one recognized the look in her eyes. Midoriya is brought back to the League of Villains' hideout and with him there, Shigaraki plans on changing the young boy's mindset and plans to use force against him. When Midoriya isn't able to escape for three years and no one can seem to find him, he begins to lose hope and his wounds only bleed more. Even when he goes back in time with the help of a pro hero's quirk, he is diagnosed with depression and struggles to go on through life. He doesn't feel like himself. He needs someone.
