His dad to go away. Sadly he can't, with the strict rules and curfews it's nearly impossible for Charlie to get a moment away from that horrendous household. With the only person that merely supports him, his sister, neither of them know what will happen. 

But through all of the terrible acts. The nightmares. The awful people. He met her. 

And nothing was ever the same again.
