Naruse was a boy who believed every word his deceased mother told him. Everything his mother said to him was true except, "If you could hold a star in your right hand, then you would be the luckiest man alive". Determined, Naruse started his journey to capture a star.

Nanami was a girl who loved books. She understood that not everything written in the books were real. But she believed a statement, "If you could hold a star in your left hand, then you would be the luckiest woman alive". Filled with hope, she began to prove that the statement is real.

Time gradually moved forward, Nanami was still eager to capture the star and Naruse had decided to give up his search....

Because of Nanami's parents' work, she had to transfer schools.
