What's your biggest problem?

17 year old Bríd knows that you should never assume you know everything about a persons life. From her turbulent relationship with her parents, a fading connection with her only friends, to the self doubt and worrying that never stops, she has managed to keep her problems well hidden from the rest of the world. From the outside, she makes herself look like she's got it all together.

After a rocky start to the exam year at her new school, Bríd is convinced that, while she can't know what goes on behind closed doors, none of her classmates with their carefree laughter, perfect outfits and effortless success, could possibly have that much in their lives to trouble them.

But then a mysterious leaking of private papers throws the entire school into disarray... and Bríd begins to realise that maybe she isn't the only one with problems.

We Dream at Midnight (Ember 2)

38 parts Ongoing

Here she is. I can see the slope of her spine through that thin shirt. She's made of angles I ache to smooth with a hand, but I'd use my lips if she asked. I brush her knuckles with mine. Her skin is cold, but she flips her palm for more contact. I lace our fingers. It's enough to make her look at me. As those kaleidoscopic eyes meet mine, I hold my breath. Then she sets her lips just under my jaw. It rips the air from my lungs. It's the softest thing I've ever felt. "What was that for," I breathe. She pulls back, lashes damp, and whispers, "You're the kind of person that should be kissed." 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 BOOK TWO C O N T A I N S : ❤︎ mature content ❤︎ romance & friendship ❤︎ yearning Copyright © 2021-present Laurel Montaze (immoralLaurel).
