I have a better description in the actual story, because apparently its too long to be put in the description box??? But basically the government tried to make people smarter with this serum, but it accidentally actually turned all the people into zombies (whoops). 
Anyway, this girl Sienna who has no idea what she is doing joins up with this group of people who also have no idea what they're doing, but who really does in an apocalypse? They are all trying to get to this safe that the government has set up to keep all the humans safe and all the zombies out. However, they find out after getting there that it isn't as safe as they first thought. 
So read on unless you get offended by language and/or are frightened easily by zombies. Otherwise check it out. Alright? Alright.All Rights Reserved

If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. Rory's father is military man and has been elected as the leader of their group after the true leader died. At first, their community is at Fort Benning, then a week or so later, their group decided to take over a part of Atlanta then slowly take over the whole city. Weeks passed and they'd completed their task and had a very large community. As months passed Rory's teacher assigned her to be the leader of her group of 32 people in her school. One day, there was an attack by the deaders that happened in their whole community and Rory led out her group out to the safe house but one member didn't follow the orders which caused her group to be separated away from her and then she decided to travel on her own and later met a group.
