Kimiko Hanate was part of a rich family. She had everything she ever wanted, but not happiness. Then, one day in the night her home was targeted by a group of assassins called &quot;Night Raid&quot;. They assassinated her entire family, and only she remained. As she was about to join her loved ones, the assassin leader named Akame decided to take her back to their base instead, giving her a chance to join them. She accepted after finding out the reason why her family was killed and now she lives her life as an assassin of Night Raid trying to bring down the corrupted empire. Will she achieve happiness that way or will madness consume her?
